Network General Notebook Sniffer Analyzers
Contents
The Notebook Sniffer® Analyzer(TM) delivers Network General's award winning Expert Analysis on a variety of notebook PC platforms. Based on Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) standards, the Notebook Sniffer Analyzer helps maintain, troubleshoot, fine-tune, and expand Ethernet and Token Ring local area networks.
This lightweight, yet sophisticated analyzer enables network managers and field service technicians to troubleshoot Ethernet and Token Ring LAN segments. With Expert Analysis, the flexible Notebook Sniffer Analyzer automatically identifies network problems, pinpoints their origins, and suggests causes. Network managers can create reports in spreadsheet, database, or Network General Reporter(TM) applications using historical statistics and Expert Analysis information.
The Notebook Sniffer Analyzer's Protocol Interpretation decodes over 200 protocols. For faster resolution of network problems, the contents of each frame are displayed in English text at all seven OSI
layers.
